Search Enginr Opthamization

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume or quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via "natural" or un-paid ("organic" or "algorithmic").

SEO Processes:-

*On-page Optimization:-

Website Analysis:
We will perform a thorough analysis of your website and its infrastructure to ensure that it can be crawled properly by the major search engines’ robots and spiders. We review everything -- your site's links to identify any broken links or images, H1 tags, Title tags, Description tags, Meta tags, and more to improve overall search engine rankings. If we identify any issues with your website’s infrastructure we will provide recommendations to improve its search engine friendliness.

Keyword Research: Identifying and targeting the best keywords are critical factors that will increase your website’s traffic and improve the quality of your traffic. The best keywords are the ones that are most relevant to your industry, most searched for, with the least amount of websites competing for them. We will analyze your industry demographics and identify your ideal target market, and then generate a comprehensive list of highly relevant keywords and phrases which will include supply and demand data (How many other websites are competing for the keyword and how many times each keyword is searched for by potential client’s).

Meta Tags: Meta information is a vital element that search engines analyze to determine your website’s relevancy. We will create Meta information for your targeted keywords to match the search engine’s density, distribution and frequency algorithms.

Content Analysis: Content is one of the most important optimization factors. We analyze your website’s content to make sure your targeted keywords are repeated the right number of times at the right places on your WebPages. We will also analyze the use of your keywords within your website’s anchor text/hyperlinks and H1 tags. If we identify any content issues we will provide recommendations to improve your keyword relevancy.

Search Engine & Directory Submission: Our step-by-step submission process ensures that your website will be indexed by the major search engines. Manually submitting your website to the search engines and directories in the right order is critical. Search engines and directories perform a crosscheck to find the websites that are most relevant and have met indexing standards. Once the search engines have seen your website listed in other search engines and directories they grant you points because they know that your website has already been reviewed and approved.

*Off-page Optimization:-

Anti-Spam Compliance: Many companies will submit your website using software. We submit your website manually, based on the strict anti-spam guidelines established by each of the major search engines and directories.
Link Building: This is extremely important for two reasons. The main reason is that search engines analyze the quantity and quality of websites that link to you. They interpret this as a third party casting a vote for your website. They also analyze a few factors to determine the quality of these links. Some of the factors include site relevancy meaning if your website sells shoes and another website relevant to shoes links to your website that will be considered much more relevant than a link from a website specializing in flowers. The other main factor is the popularity of the website that links to you. Websites that generate millions of visitors each month will also be considered more relevant than websites that only have a few hundred visitors per month.
The other reason link building is important is that by establishing quality links on other relevant websites you also increase your overall online visibility and its basically free advertising. That’s why we will spend several hours each month to contact other prominent and relevant websites asking them to link back to your website.
In Off-Page Optimization, apart from Link Building we even work on several methods like E-mail Marketing, Social Book marking, Press Releases, Article Submission and Blog Commenting to promote your web site in Search Engines.

Monthly Search Engine Placement Report: Each month, we will provide a comprehensive ranking report that will allow you to monitor the progress of our optimization efforts. This report will show you exactly where your keywords rank among the major search engines.

Search Engine Optimisation Factors:

Through implementing search engine optimisation over the past few years I've gained a good understanding of what factors affect your ranking, but knowing what the most important factors are is another question. I've compiled a list of factors (in no particular order) which I feel have the biggest contribution to the affect of your ranking within the search engine result pages and would like to start a discussion about what people think the most important factors are.

1. Number of incoming links

2. Optimisation keywords used within H1 Headings

3. Correct keyword density of optimisation keywords within webpage

4. Correct keyword prominence of optimisation keywords within webpage

5. Each webpage containing at least 100 words

6. Optimisation keywords used within Img ALT tags

7. Optimisation keywords used within Meta tags (description and keywords)

8. Internal link structure of website

9. Regular update of website content - whether this would be updating existing webpages or adding new ones

10. Optimisation keywords used within Title tag

11. Google PageRank of incoming links

12. Link text used within incoming links

13. Optimisation keywords in bold text

14. Optimisation keywords in underline text

15. Optimisation keywords in italic text

If you feel you can contribute towards this list please join this discussion and it would also be good if you could copy the list above and put them into the order you feel are the most important. I wanted to gain a better insight into other people's views on this matter.
